A PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY SILHOUETTE PICTURES, unsigned but possibly by Stephen O'Driscoll, (1) The Rakes of Mallow, ink/gouache/pencil on card, inscribed lower centre "The Rakes of Mallow", verso has a faded inscription which is possibly the names of the two gentlemen, lower left is "(M) Creagh" (which would tie in with the song "The Rakes of Mallow" which was apparently referencing the Creagh family of Doneraile), (2) The Butter Exchange, ink/gouache/pencil on card, again a faded inscription verso, possibly "Mast. Honan" lower left, which would be in reference to the Honan family, who were one of the Merchant Prince families of Cork in the 19th Century, who made their fortunes through various means, one being the buying and selling of butter
